Ask for Salt-N-Pepa, got Poison

What was the last item you returned to a store?
A computer hard drive I bought for my brother. It was SATA and his computer was too old to handle it.

What do you currently have in your possession that you need to return to its owner?
Nothing that I can think of, but I do have something I need to give Sharon. I need to remember to send it with either Debbie or Cindy.

What’s something you lent to someone that you’d really like back now?
I want my treadmill back from my parents, but I don't have any place to put it.

Where’s a place you hope never to see again?
Wow this one is hard for some reason. I don't know.

What’s your explanation for those wild stories about dogs and cats who get separated from their owners for years and finally make their way home, even at times finding their owners when the families have moved a long way away?
The same reason people find their way home.

Ipod 10:
1. Tearin Us Apart - Plain White T's
2. Blue Monday - New Order (Wedding Singer soundtrack)
3. American Idiot - Green Day
4. Want Some, Need Some - Poison
5. Adam's Song - Blink 182 (live)
6. Same Ol' Situation - Motley Crue
7. Strut - Sheena Easton
8. By My Side - JD. Fortune (from Rockstar)
9. No Control - Pepper
10. Senorita - Justin Timberlake

I asked my Ipod to play me Salt-N-Pepa. It gave me Poison, Motley Crue,Sheena Easton, and Blue Monday instead. Right Decade at least :)

UPDATE: I don't have any Salt-N-Pepa on my Ipod. How is that possible? I guess it did the best it could, huh. Time to go get some Push It, and Whatta Man.

Apollo wasn't a dancer?

I wanted Joey to win last night, but I too knew in my heart it would be Apollo. It still didn't stop me from yelling at the TV and chanting Joey, Joey, Joey waiting for them to announce the winner. It also didn't stop me from complaining that Joey should have won. The best was Doug though. he said, "Come on, Apollo was going to win all along, He's way better. You can't even tell he ISN'T a dancer" This coming from the guy who says he doesn't like the show, but I saw him peaking from behind his laptop last night :) I'm glad it came down to Apollo and Joey though. I would have seriously been disappointed to see Laila in the final 2. I'm okay with Apollo winning, he was really good and I did say a few weeks ago it would be hard to beat him. His freestyle Monday night sealed it for him I think. That was seriously the best routine of the entire season.
Can we take a moment to acknowledge how insanely better Ian is then any of the other dancers that were eliminated? Watching them dance again last night and damn they are aweful! Not IAN though he killed it.
If Joey, Ian, and Maks are on the Dancing with the Stars tour, I think it would be enough to get me to buy a ticket. Anyone else in?

Check out this photo of Maks from the Pirates Premiere the other night. Holy Good God that man is beautiful.

My mind on shuffle

I feel like I have alot to write about but can't really think of anything. I guess I'll just randomly list some things that come to my mind.  It's better than working right?

  • My parent's came to visit for Mother's day. They actually stayed over at our house which was awesome. We had a great time and I can really see just how much Riley LOVES being around them. We went to the Lilac Festival and walked all around Highland Park and took tons of photos. Riley also got to ride a pony which obviously was the highlight of her day.
  • My brother has a girlfriend!
  • Nyssa and I start Advanced Beginner Agility on Thursday.  It's been like 3 months since we've done any agility. I hope Nyssa remembers what to do. More importantly, I hope I remember.
  • I can't believe that in only two weeks Cindy, Debbie, and I will be going to a scrapbook convention in Buffalo. I am super excited about that. We're going to have so much fun and I can't wait to see the Gotobed's. We have to figure out how to fit Poker into the weekend for sure!
  • I haven't done any scrapbooking in several months. I need to get going or I'll still be working on it when Riley's in college :) Just think of the words I could add to the book. hahaha
  • Doug bought me a studio flash for my birthday so I can take super awesome portraits. Now if only I knew how to use it and had time to play with it.
  • Doug bought me a Studio Lighting photography class for Mother's day.
  • I think something is wrong with my DSLR.  The pictures I took at the Lilac Festival came out crappy. For several months now I thought it was me. I've been having problems with the Auto Focus and I thought it was just that I was getting worse at photography, but then it happened to Doug too. Now I've been doing some research and it seems to be a common problem with my Canon 20D. John gave me some tests to try and see if I can fix it on my own. If not, I'm faced with a large dilemma. Doug bought the extended warranty from Best Buy, but  can I really trust them with my camera. You wouldn't even believe the horror stories I've read online about Best Buy Service.
  • I went to Best Buy last week to purchase a portable DVD player for Riley for our trip to Boston (New Hampshire really) and while I was there I ventured up to the "Geek Squad" to ask them about  extended warranties on the 20D. I specifically asked them WHERE the cameras get serviced and they told me for just about anything they'll send it to Rowe Photo which is an excellent local photography shop. So now I feel more comfortable because I trust Rowe, but do I trust that the highschool geek squad guy at Best Buy knows what he's talking about.
  • We went to Boston (New Hampshire really) this past weekend for Hoover's Birthday poker tourney. We had a blast! I miss my Boston/New Hampshire friends terribly. I wish we lived closer. We didn't make the money at the tourney, but Doug did win the satellite and a $100 on a scratch off at the bar the guys went to before the tourney, so all wasn't lost. Congrats to Keith for taking first place!
  • Why is it that my Boston/New Hampshire friends wait until they are 7-8 months pregnant before telling us they are pregnant? Kas is having a Boy in July.
  • Every time I'm at the Hoover's house, I start thinking, "how can I add on to our house to get an awesome play room for Riley like they have for their girls?" They really have a kick ass playroom. It's right off the Kitchen on the first floor. It's perfect size and location.
  • I need to get Riley a kitchen set.  All she did was make pretend food and feed her animals using the kitchen in the Hoover's playroom.
  • I wish my New Hampshire/Boston friends would send me photos of their girls or I wish I knew if they posted them online anywhere. I also wish I knew if my New Hampshire/Boston friends regularly posted to a blog.
  • Doug, Riley, and I were exhausted after our trip. I needed an entire day to recover... so did Riley... It was worth it though.
  • Summer plans are coming along great. I'm looking forward to so many funs things this summer.
  • The TV season has pretty much come to a close. I'm bummed that CBS didn't pick up Jericho for another season. It was a great show. I'm relieved that the CW DID pick up Supernatural for another season and the season finale was great, but it was obvious they weren't sure if they were getting renewed or not. They closed up the main story line, but opened up a new one without leaving on a cliffhanger. It was very well done.
  • ER is starting to get alittle annoying. I'm so over the helicopter slamming down on a main character at the last minute out of the blue technique they like to use. First with Ray and then Nila. I was sure though that Luka was gonna be the victim when he left in the cab and didn't turn around to look at Abby.  I read Shane West is leaving the show, so I think that's the last we'll see of Ray.
  • Heroes season finale was kick ass!
  • Entourage is better then ever this season! It's been awhile since I've laughed so much during a sitcom. The writing on the show  is incredible.  It so deserves an Emmy!
  • Dancing with the Stars finale is on tonight. I was so looking forward to Joey's freestyle dance last night. While he was doing it I was really disappointed though. I really really want to see a hip hop routine, but then I rewound it and watched it again and I LOVED IT!!!  I understand he wanted to show off what he'd learned and everyone knows he can hip hop dance.  And how about the puppets in his Cha Cha. I was like "Oh Snap! Doug look it's the No Strings Attached puppets!" You think he did that on purpose? Either way it was cool and I loved his Cha Cha. It was way better then the scores he got. Apollo's freestyle was kick ass too!  The competition is really too close to call at this point. As long as Laila doesn't win! However I thoroughly enjoyed when Maks had his shirt ripped off. Speaking of Maks they were all on Ellen yesterday and he was wearing jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt. Holy Crap he's HOT! So much hotter in jeans then those dance pants.
  • I think I know why I play more online poker in the summer then any other season. Nothing on TV to watch!
  • We really need to work on our landscaping at the house. The grass looks horrible. I want to do something with the backyard. I need a landscape designer. Someone who can take our ideas and design a backyard for us and then we can install ourselves.
  • I procrastinated and didn't call to reserve the Martin Rd Pavilion for Riley's birthday party, so I guess we're having it at our house this year.  Riley WILL have a party at that park eventually I swear!!
  • I have alot of house projects I want to complete, but I can't get started. I'm seriously thinking about hiring someone to come in and repaint the hallway and entry way and fix up all the cat scratches. I know Doug and I will never get around too it.
  • I wish I could do more DIY stuff on my own. Doug's never around to work on anything.
  • I can't decide if I should participate in my neighborhood garage sale this year or not. Do I have enough stuff to make it worth while.
  • We really need to clean out the garage and dispose of that beater truck that's been in there since we bought the Tahoe.
  • I really, really, really ,really, did I say really, want to go to Foxwoods with Debbie to see INXS! I just don't know if I can pull it off. Riley's on vacation from school that week and it's also the same week as the Michaud 4th of July party (if they have it) and Alyssa's 5th Birthday party. That's ALOT of driving. Am I up for it? I just don't know.

Okay, wow that was alot. I guess I have alot more on my mind then I realized!  Here's my IPOD 10:

1. Tonight is the night I fell Asleep at the Wheel - BNL

Friday 5

I couldn't find one set of Friday 5 questions I liked, so here's a combination of some I found around.

1. If you were throwing an 80s themed slumber party...What movies would you show?
Real Genius, Pretty Woman, Top Gun, Goonies, and St.Elmo's Fire.

2. If you were throwing an 80s themed slumber party...Which childhood friends and crushes would you reminisce about?
Brendan, my first boyfriend, in 5 - 7th grade, My cousins Michelle and Craig. Friends: Trudi, Becky, and Tonya.  Like any girl, I had lots of crushes, but one boy sticks out over all of them, Brian.  Other crushes came and went but this stayed all througout highschool.  I often wonder what he looks like now, but at the same time I want to remember him the way he looked back then after all that's the boy I had a crush on. Why ruin it?

3.  On Saturday, I plan to ____.
On Saturday, I plan to attend Margaret's house Family outing day at Springdale Farms, work for 3 hours, and hopefully go to the drive-in to see Spiderman 3.

4.  Which famous person would you like to be for one day? Why?
Any girl Justin Timberlake is dating/with at the time. Why? Why not? I just hope she's not on her period that day. :)

5.  Look up, what are the first 5 things you see in front of you?
my laptop, a photo of Nyssa, office phone, my ipod, a photo of Riley
